Pizza Pasta

125g pepperoni £1.00

1 small onion (peeled and chopped) £0.17

1 500g passata £0.33

1 tsp dried oregano £0.05

4 garlic cloves (minced or use lazy garlic) £0.10

1 x 400g tin chopped tomatoes £0.28

200g frozen peppers £0.29

300g dried pasta £0.35

Flat leaf parsley (basil or coriander can be used) £0.05

200g reduced fat mozzarella £1.32

Salt and pepper to taste

Total cost £3.94 per portion  Â£0.65 (6 portions)

Method

Boil a pan of water and place the pasta and cook, while this is cooking in a solid bottom pan spray some of the low calorie spray and add the onions and cook for a few minutes then add the peppers and garlic and cook for a further 3 minutes. Por in the chopped tomatoes, passata and oregano and stir all together.

Dice up half of the pepperoni and add to the sauce, cook for a further 5/6 minutes, drain the cooked pasta and add this to the sauce mix and then add to a oven cooking pot.

Cover the top with the remaining pepperoni and cheese then place in a pre-heated over on gas mark 6 or fan oven on 180 and bake for around 10 minutes

Season to taste.
