Can’t see someone and would love to send them a hug ? Well now you can

The word, ‘ hug’ comes from ‘ hugga ’ in the Norse language.

The Danish also have a word called, ‘hygge’ pronounced ‘ hyoo -gah’ .

All mean to provide comfort, reduce anxiety and create instead a feeling of good well-being and calm.

This series of video shows shows how to make them from bits and bobs you may have around the house.

You will need : a plastic bottle, scissors, sticky tape/ glue, pens, a piece of A4 paper and scraps of card.

This is a great activity for children of all ages and maybe adults too . There are examples of poems to help you put into words your feelings .
